Psychedelic Foods
An established food business with packaging, photos and fonts, but no website. We took what they had and built their brand online, then organized the whole range so four product lines and dozens of flavors are easy to find and buy.

Website when we started

Where they started.
Psychedelic Foods was already in business when we met, selling freeze-dried herbs, dried chiles and gourmet mushrooms. It had its packaging, its fonts, product photos and a product list. What it didn't have was a website.
They handed us what they had, and we built their brand online from it: taking a look that worked on the shelf and making it work on a screen, then organizing a large range of flavors so a first-time visitor could find their way through it.
What we made, and why.
We sorted the range into four lanes
ShakerZ for freeze-dried pantry herbs, ShroomZ for mushrooms, Herb BlastZ for slightly dried herbs that live in the fridge, and PepperZ for whole chiles. The menu shows how many flavors each lane holds, so people know what they're walking into.
We built a quiz for people who don't know where to start
The flavor quiz asks what kind of cook you are and points you to a place to begin, so a range this size never feels like a wall of jars.
We made heat something you can look up
The Heat Guide takes the chiles from mild to extreme, so you can choose how hot to go before you buy rather than after.
We gave the store a kitchen
Guides and recipes live in The Kitchen, so the store shows people how to cook with what they buy, and not only how to buy it.
We changed things as they came up
We worked directly with the owners, so when something needed to change, it changed. There was no stack of change orders and no waiting for the next round: they told us, and we did it.
