Black Marlin
We built this one from the ground up. The name came from a boat, and we created the identity, the packaging, and the store across three product lines.
Psychedelic Foods
Freeze-dried herbs, chiles, and mushrooms. They had packaging, photos and fonts, but no website, so we built their brand online from what they had, and the store underneath it.
Wicked
We built the first US home for an Australian food brand with twenty years behind it, starting from a blank page.

We made these to do our work better. Four are public and free.
Umber
LiveA color palette tool. It suggests color combinations, lets you keep the ones you like, and shows them on real buttons and pages before you commit.
Kern
LiveA font pairing tool. We measured about 470 typefaces for how their letters are sized and shaped, so it can suggest pairs that sit well together based on those measurements rather than guesswork.
Nib
LiveA simple app for reading and writing documents in Markdown, a plain-text format a lot of people write in. It works on a Mac and in a web browser, and it can wear any of the free color themes made for VS Code, a popular code editor.
Gesso
LiveA tool for the small details of a design, like how rounded the corners are, how shadows fall, and how things move, and it keeps all of them consistent with each other.
Loupe
InternalA browser we built to check our work. It measures the real page, like whether text is easy to read and whether anything spills off a phone screen, and it only reports what it actually measured. That matters: a check that assumes things are fine is how broken pages get launched.
Atelier
InternalOur color and font tools, packaged so a new design follows the rules from the start instead of being checked against them afterward.
